Following a week or so of not writing, started to develop The Deserter, telling the story of a young soldier sent out to find three deserters, one of whom is a man who deserted the soldier’s Mother when his Father died. Not sure if play or film, but whatever it is going to take some time to develop, given the nature of the story and the time period. Lots of web reasearch.

Saw Bench Theatre’s production of Yasmina Reza’s Life X Three last Friday. Excellent production, excellent cast.

Spent the week finalising a fourth draft of The Squeaky Clean, and with tongue-in-cheek issued the play to The Bush, Royal Court and the National Theatre. Always hard to issue stuff. The minute I have I normally think of other changes I want to make. Anyway, here’s hoping.

A South African theatre company expressed interest in White Meat, and ‘bought ‘ the script for a reading. Hope they want to stage it. Maybe a visit to  see it!
