Staging ‘Inside Out’ at a local Southsea wine bar in October, using locally based actors. The play which is a comedy, had a reading by a local theatre group last year, and went down well. Prompted me to Produce it for a three night run. One actor to find. Rehearsals in September. Should be fun.
Solo Theatre Company read my short play ‘Montgomery’ at the White Bear Theatre in London earlier in the month, as part of their Solo Festival. The play was well received. Will issue to other theatre companies looking for short plays.
Started to issue ‘Presents’ to UK and International film festivals. Hoping for some good responses, and screenings everywhere!
We did not win the Lost One Act Festival with ‘The Deserter’ but we received a great review of the piece. Joseph Lindoe was highly praised by the judges for his acting ability. All in all, it was a great experience, and I am glad we took up the offer of the event.
My short play ‘Montgomery’ telling the story of a long-suffering husband, a middle aged hotel receptionist and a hooker who uses the hotel for business, has been selected to play at the White Bear Theatre on the 11th July, at 4pm, as part of the Face to Face festival. First time anything of mine has been staged at the White Bear. Looking forward to it.
Following the reading of ‘It Started With A Touch’ by the So And So Arts Club, the play has been accepted by a US Theatre Company for a US production in September 2016. Needless to say I am jumping through hoops at the opportunity of a play of mine being staged in the States. I plan to go prior to the run.
‘Presents’ is finished! Glad we shot the extra scene with Joanne Gale. It makes the film work so much better. Feel excited by the finished product. Now to issue it to festivals.
